About Us

Dharmaratna Films is an Indian/Nepalese film production and distribution company specialized in the production of feature films, short Films, documentaries, TV shows and music videos for the national & international audiences. It is also one of the leading Line Producing Companies in Sikkim/Nepal.

It was transformed from the defunct Deorali Varieties and was re-established in 2018 by Filmmaker Pavi R. Shakya and his producer and entrepreneur wife Sujata Pradhan.

Dharmaratna Films aims at:

  • Promoting universal peace. Wisdom and compassion through films,
  • Bringing life to ancient myths and spiritual tales that contain life – changing lesions for our time,
  • Producing international, high-end, artistic films that can be both entertaining and profound.

Pavi R. Sakya

Co-Founder/CEO & Filmmaker
A Filmmaker, Film Editor, Motion Graphics Animator, Film Producer & and Artist from Sikkim currently based in Mumbai. Also, the Co-founder & CEO of DRF - Dharmaratna Films has its registered office in Sikkim & corporate offices in Mumbai & Kathmandu. The production house was established in order to seek better opportunities for artists hailing from the North East in the Bollywood & Nepali Film Industry.
DEEPANKAR R SHAKYA

Deepankar R. Shakya

Writer/Director
Writer and director of multiple award-winning and nationally acclaimed short films namely Altered and Pretty Woman. Has also worked in two Full Feature Films in Nepal, 'Meri Mamu' and 'Hazaar Juni Sama' as an Assistant Director and spent two years in Mumbai/Pune working as a Freelance Filmmaker and a Theatre Artist.

But I have been changing my artistic medium from photos to animations, fine arts, and portraits. Currently, I'm doing 3d animations using software like Cinema 4d, unreal engine.
